OCEANA GAYDEN & ZENPHONIC JOIN MUSICAL
LINEUP FOR DAVID LYNCH WEEKEND

April 15, 2008

Nashville-based jam band Oceana Gayden & Zenphonic have snagged a prestigious slot opening for Moby and classic rock legend Donovan at the upcoming David Lynch Weekend in Iowa.

The concert, which will take place on April 27 and also feature singer Chrysta Bell, is just one of the highlights of the four-day event to be held April 25-28 at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa. The weekend, which is dedicated to “exploring the frontiers of creativity, sustainability, and peace,” will include talks by renowned filmmaker Lynch on creativity and consciousness, and by John Hagelin, the quantum physicist who appeared in the film What the Bleep Do We Know?, on quantum physics, spirituality, and peace.

The band, which includes Gayden’s father Mac, the legendary slide guitarist and R&B songwriter (“Everlasting Love”), on lead guitar, and her brother Mac Jr. on rhythm guitar, is currently in preproduction on the follow-up to their debut album, 2005’s Cyber Gypsies.
