YoungBuck2YOUNG BUCK OUT OF G-UNIT
STILL SIGNED AS SOLO ARTIST, RAPPER ANNOUNCES DVD, LAUNCHES CLOTHING LINE

After months of rampant speculation in the hip-hop blogosphere, 50 Cent has made official what many bloggers predicted: Nashville's Young Buck is no longer a member of his G-Unit crew.

In an interview on April 7 during the Miss Jones in the Morning show on Hot 97 FM in New York City, the rap megastar said, "You can take this as official notice ... Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit as a solo artist."

The dismissal follows a recent, on-stage appearance by Young Buck at a concert in Chattanooga, Tenn. featuring G-Unit rival Lil Wayne, and a well-publicized interview with Yo! Raps magazine published on March 17 in which Buck complained that he had never received a royalty check from G-Unit Records. In the radio interview, 50 Cent compared Buck's actions with those of Game, "You can look at that and see that's Game all the way." A little more than three years ago, Game was booted from G-Unit in the exact same way, during an interview with Hot 97 FM. No comment thus far from Young Buck or his representatives.

On the same day as the 50 Cent interview, Young Buck announced the upcoming release of his first, full-length DVD, A Billion Bucks, a documentary directed by Jason Goldwatch. Scheduled to drop June 10, the DVD will include three unreleased music videos and six new tracks featuring Buck, C-Bo, Tha Outlawz and 615; plus performance and behind-the -scenes footage shot during a year of touring.

Also, Young Buck's line of apparel, David Brown Clothing, has officially launched at DavidBrownCollection.com. The line, which bears his birth name rather than his rap moniker, includes a number of items featuring bandana-print designs, including jeans, hoodies, and T-shirts.
